With possible rumoured release of FF nex , anyone out there considering jumping ship for what maybe a smaller compact FF system with all the benefits of superior sensor , although i imagine it will be costly . Mft could come under more pressure if smaller FF systems come onto the market ,there have been rumours of such from fuji and pentax . we can all see what can be done with RX1 although not interchangeable yet .

If I wanted to carry around full frame sized lenses, I would probably get a FF DSLR body which handles their weight and size better.....Having used the largest M43 lenses on the smallest M43 bodies, I can tell you that, while possible, that level of size disparity between body and lens is a bit awkward.

Unless Sony decides to use some of the intrinsic software corrections that Oly and Panasonic have implemented in their lens design in order to create the very small lenses of M43, then they will still have the big lens/small body problem, and I would not be interested. If they DO manage to go that route, then it might be a very interesting system, albeit pricey.

As a steadfast reader and some-time participant of 2 forums; this and NEX, I find this discussion interesting and refreshing.

"the intrinsic software corrections that Oly and Panasonic have implemented in their lens design in order to create the very small lenses" ...That has already been done with the compact 16-50 power zoom. That is therefore a compact and useful lens but with poorish optical value.

Now Sony has plans for a lot of changes during the next year but they have really kept a lid on it. So the rumor websites have run amok predicting this and that, followed by retractions of their rumors. Which has driven the NEX community crazy, with resulting low morale. Who can blame them.

Nevertheless I believe that changes from Sony are being driven by ominous anti-mirrorless competition from Canon, via some amazing technology development in the D70 model and a looming pro-DSLR with 75mp. So Sony is going to be the bastion of the MILC vs DSLR battle and their new as-yet unspecified technology will present itself as:

- Continued APS-C sensor E-mount NEX-7x new model, introduction being delayed.

- Cancelation of the translucent-mirror DSLR line, which will be replaced by a similar-appearing but mirrorless camera with dual-mount capability, (both E-mount and A-mount)

- New FF mirrorless line.

That's just my viewpoint; it's all very muddy.
