Filters or no filter.

I'm wondering if I should get a filter, since I like to protect my things. And in this case, it would be the lenses. I didn't do extensive research on it but I read a few articles about filters.

Filters will degrade your image. It just depends on how much, which depends on the quality of the filter. I read somewhere that the B+W 77mm UV Haze MRC 010M Filter is a good choice. A little pricey but supposedly worth every penny.

Other than simply protecting your lenses, different filters will do different things and enhance the image depending what you're using it for. Like landscapes can really benefit from it.

So my question boils down to, filters or no filters. And should I even worry about filters right now as a beginner?

Thanks!
