What are you talking about?

The 70D uses two photosites for each of its 20 megapixels. The 70D sensor has 40 million photosites (40 megaphotosites).

If the rumor is actually about a 75 million photosite sensor, if used in a Dual Pixel configuration like the 70D, that would cut the total number of pixels in half or around 37 megapixels.
