The two camera's (and the K500) are virtually identical. Go to Pentax imaging web site and use thier compare tool. the only difference I found is the K50 and K500 have 51200 and menu items for Eye-Fi card. The K30 ISO goes to 25600 and no Eye-Fi menus.

As others have said, the old glass will work nicely, the auto focus system will still work with manual lenses, you just have to be the motor. So if you leave it set to auto-s as you turn the focus ring the auto focus system will give you an indicator to tell you when you get it in-focus. It also will not take a shot until you get it in-focus. If you set to manual focus it will still tell you when it thinks you are in focus but it will take a shot when you are not in focus.
