L-brackets for stereo pairs - totally bamboozled!
Jul 17, 2013

I wonder if someone could offer technical advice here…

I don't have a slider rail to attach to my tripod to take stereo pairs. But I do have a pair of L-brackets as shown in this photo:

http://i.ebayimg.com/t/Dual-L-Universal-Adjustable-Flash-Bracket-For-Canon-Nikon-Sony-Pentax-Camera-/00/s/NTAwWDUwMA==/z/lagAAOxyzHxRPpZ4/$%28KGrHqNHJC0FCy6RynU6BRPpZ3hdbw~~60_1.JPG

One bracket has 2 slots with a sliding screw in each.
The other bracket has one slot and a fixed hole on one side (both with screws) and 4 fixed holes on the other side.
The screws can be removed and used in any of the holes.

Yet for the life of me I cannot work out a combination of these which will allow me to take stereo pairs in either landscape or portrait orientation!

I just want my tripod screw to attach to one part and something/anything else in the right orientation to attach my camera and slide it. I'm happy to have a fixed camera and then slide the bracket, or a fixed bracket and then slide the camera.

Help!

Thanks in advance for suggestions.
