Think back to when Canon was driving hard to attract pro photographers. They were in such a hurry to develop lenses that they forgot the relationship between the sun and the color "black". And that is how those sissy white lenses were born.

Think back to when Canon started to develop superior tele lenses designed for pro photographers. They developed a method to produce fluorite crystals in factories. Nikon did not manage that, and instead kept on boasting their ED glass was better.

Only now Nikon has started to produce their first tele with fluorite element, the 800mm f5.6. Took them 40 years,

In the mean time, Nikon has offered several white version tele lenses.

I know, I shouldn't have said that. The devil made me do it.
