I use a DSLR. I seldom (never ever) repeat this silly drill you describe but if I did, how is that a problem for someone else?

Of course images can be postviewed in an EVF. In fact for burst shooting, with some cameras that's about all you CAN view in the EVF is the image you just took. Not what you're about to take a photo of. Kind of like a fast car where the driver's seat faces backwards.
