DP1S, green corners and white balance
Jul 15, 2013

I also have the infamous green corners on my dp1s. So far, I was trying to pull 'em out in post with adding-subtracting gradient layers etc. But I recently shot some photos where i discovered that WB can play a significant role in them, especially to take them away by a big margin. I uploaded some examples, where when in Auto WB green corners are significant. I then applied Fluorescent (which I found that works better than other WB modes in most cases, even in some not that simple scenes as the one I show here). In the fluo WB I changed the colour adjustment to better illustrate the phenomenon

Auto WB

Fluorescent WB (+colour adjustement to match the Auto)

While there is no physical reason to remove green corners by using WB, is quite welcome I suppose
