Voting options -- Is a vote in the negative a bad thing?

The ability to express one's opinion through voting options is an expedient way to give some input without using a post in a thread with a cap.  Do you think we should have other options besides a simple "thumbs up"?

No, "thumbs up" is all that is required. "Thumbs down" leads to hurt feelings and childish behavior.

Yes, having "thumbs down" to express disagreement without wasting a post would improve the forums.

Yes, but changing to a less negative down vote would remove the strong negative connotation of a "thumbs down" vote. "Was this post helpful?" with a "yes" or "no" option in the style of Amazon reviews is less divisive.
