body cpu: 1 vs 2

Yes, but one could argue that a single digic5+ is either on par or outperforms dual digic 4.

body material: plastic vs metal

Both use metal. Only the70D uses aluminum for the structure and the rest is polycarbonate (quite robust, with this plastic even motorcycle helmets are manufactured) whereas the 7d has a mostly magnesium body.

storage type: 1sd vs 1cf

This is what disappoints me.

But from the body materials and this it seems likely to me that Canon's intent can be written as 70d:7d(v?)=6d:5d(MkIII) and this can point out to what a 7dMkII could be.

IQ: unknown vs Ok

price: $1199 vs $1299(now)
