Again, not a difference most people will ever notice. 16 consecutive frames is a lot for most people.

If you happen to shoot short sequences while for example a F1 car passes by you will notice that difference really fast because even though you don't shoot 25 shots consecutively you will hit the buffer limit at some time. The slower SD card interface doesn't help either as then the buffer is freed less quickly.

I also like the fact that plastics are lighter. No point in lugging around more weight than you have to.

Well if the body happens to be too small to offer all the necessary controls (as is the case on the 70D) then this "lighter/smaller is better" is a misconception. Put a good fast lens on the camera and the plastic bodied camera will feel unbalanced. You need the weight for a well balanced setup.
