Will the supposed quality gains in the D600 body be outweighed by the degradation of quality in the lenses?

For 12-24 on FX vs 10-22 on DX. i think IQ wise they are close but 12-24 is much much wider but shorter.

For 28-300 on FX vs 24-70 on DX, I think the 28-300 is better.

70-200 F4 IS on DX is better than 28-300 on FX in every aspect.

Am I better off staying with Canon and buying a 6D instead?

You will not be able to continue use 10-22, and 24-70 isnt exactly a great lens.

Any suggestions for an alternative/better combination of lenses that falls into the same rough budget range as the two above?

I had 60D + 17-55 + 70-200 F4 IS.

I bought D600 + 24-85 + 85G + 50G. sold 17-55. so now I use 60D with 70-200 F4 for long shots, and D600 for shorter shots.
