Hi, I have the Zeiss 100mm F2 Makro as well as the new Sigma180mm F2.8, the Sigma is my preferred option for insects due to the longer reach, stabiliser and AF, the quality is very good though it is a heavy lens best used on a monopod/tripod. The 'DX' crop mode on the D800 will of course give you additional reach should it be required.
