Is NOT that the Obama fans support their hero (disgusting as that may be, 'cause they sure would have condemned Bush); but that those who supposedly hate him and FEAR him, have rallied around to support him and have joined the chorus attacking Snowden.

Dave, this is simply a knee-jerk reaction by people who think dissent means treason.

I have often said there isn't a dime's worth of difference between the Democrats and the Republicans. They only go through this sham called "elections" to determine which party's special interested will get their way. And very often, they even share the same special interest groups.

The important thing to remember is that BOTH parties support the status-quo. While they prefer to win elections, they have rigged the game sufficiently so that losing an election can still be quite rewarding.

The real division in our nation is between those who believe in Constitutional Government and those who do not. And I suspect that both the mainstream Democrats and mainstream Republicans are in the group that does not.

By some historical estimates only around 10% of our population actively supported the American Revolution. Most of the people who leaned right or who leaned left called the Founding Fathers traitors.

In those parts of America, where the Revolution was a Civil War, the Tories were routed with litte trouble. And of course, if the Revolution HAD been JUST a Civil War it would have been over in months instead of eight long years.

Civics, is the most important part of being a good citizen, and no child should be able to graduate High School, unless they can pass such a course. This simple concept it an issue to No One, and thus we see Americans across the spectrum believing that the only important right, is the right to choose between burgers and hot dogs on the Fourth of July.

Dave

And we see this today, whenever anyone "spilling the beans" is considered a traitor.

By both parties.
