Final PC configuration for me for Photoshop with plug-ins
Jul 6, 2013

After a little thought and reading up, I came up with the following configuration for a new build PC. I will be using it mainly for Photoshop CS6 and Nik Collection plug in, and hopefully in the future some small pano stitching and focus stacked images. I don't game.

Intel Core i-7 4770 (no discreet GPU as only editing still images one at a time)

Asrock H87 Pro 4 (I will NOT be overclocking so don't believe I need a Z87 board)

Gskill Ripjaws 1,600 mhz 8Gb x 2 = 16 Gbs RAM

WD 1 TB Blue internal HDD

Seasonic 520W PSUNZXT Gamma case with extra fan

Multi-media Dell keyboard (NOT wireless)

Transcend multi-card reader

That's it. I had to give up the SSD and a discreet GPU to get the i7 and the extra 8Gbs of RAM. I think this is the right decision. Any thoughts would be appreciated. I hope to use Windows 64 Ultimate as the OS.

Samsung i7
