my camera (600) took a dip in a fountain. I took everything out to try and dry it. no soap. then I had to go to the bathroom. what did I see? one of those hot air hand dryers. I figured why not? I was actually kinda glad because an 800 was about to enter my life. after blowing into ALL open parts of the camera, I mean the battery, card, grip, front with lens off (that's right - what the hell? camera is already done right?) and every crack and seam I could find, maybe 10 minutes later I reassembled it and it's still working just fine. Oh, I did the lens that was on at the time too, concentrating on the pickups.

good luck
