Re: A Paul Dibble Scultpure

Paul Dibble is a world renowned sculpturist who until recently lived in our city. He has a number of large sized sculptures dotted around the city. This image Lady and Tuatara is outside our Regent Theatre. The B&W treatment works better than the colour. Busy agree but hard to shoot without some background.

The resident light and environment seem impossible.

Someone famous said "if your pictures aren't good enough, you're not close enough."

You might try your own artistic interpretation of the piece, for example with a tripod and a couple of industrial-strength flashlights (torches in NZ?). Dramatic light on a zoomed-in reptilian eye with a spooky tree in the background?

Or...

Thane, you're a poet; if you think of the piece poetically instead of photographically, something will work.
