I have a mid 2011 27" iMac with 16G of ram, 2TB HDD, Quad Core i7 @ 3.4 GHz. I love the big clear screen and am exceptionally pleased with the computing performance.

I think it's important to note that the screen he was looking on the current iMacs is much improved over the previous models.

Ouch! You sure know how to hurt a guy!

Cheers,

Jake

Glad you took it so well.

LOL! I was probably lucky to have "the latest and greatest" iMac for 10~12 months. You know how it is, always something better coming out soon.

Cheers

I sense the next iMac update could end up with a Retina display and my latest and greatest will also no longer apply. That's OK, I suspect the performance would either drop a bit or remain the same to keep up with the much higher resolution. Besides, every file I have thrown at my iMac has opened in less than a second and all the editing I do is happening in real time. I don't see my image files getting larger in the future so this iMac, and with the help of Thunderbolt, will last me a lot longer than my previous computers. In any case, both of our iMacs have great resale value.
