Low light, yes.  f/2.8 will allow lower ISO and/or higher shutter speeds.

Subject isolation, no. fz200 lens is just 4.5-108mm f/2.8.  Tiny sensor makes it 600mm equivalent, but the equivalency factor also applies to depth of field. 108mm f/2.8 on the FZ200 is equivalent to 600mm f/15 (at the same subject distance) on full frame DSLR.
