Mirrorless vs DSLR Camera
Jun 28, 2013

I am totally new to photography and want to get a camera to take pictures when I travel. I will mainly be photographing landscapes, family photos and some artistic shots.

Firstly, I want to know whether to get a Mirrorless camera or a traditional DSLR. I don't particularly want to carry around something too big. So I was leaning towards the Mirrorless. Is this the way to go for someone like me.

I was thinking about the NEX 5R or NEX 6 for a Mirrorless.

Or the Canon 600D, 650D or 60D for a DSLR.

Im not really sure which to get so I'd like some help please.

Id also like some recommendations for lenses for my purposes.

For the purposes of this, we'll say that money doesn't matter.

Canon EOS 600D (EOS Rebel T3i / EOS Kiss X5) Canon EOS 60D Canon EOS 650D (EOS Rebel T4i / EOS Kiss X6i)
