How long will it take for someone to produce the "Perfect Camera"?

What I mean, is, a camera for the majority of us photographers who just want

a really terrific walkabout camera, to capture the highest quality images

that occur in our every day lives.

There are many who have excessive needs for their particular style of photography.

Most of those people have had their needs addressed.

Those who need really fast cameras for sports, or fast moving children etc..

Or those who need long telephoto lenses for wildlife, or astral photography.

Also there are super wide angle, and even fish-eye lenses for those who

need circular pictures, or pictures of their dogs with really big noses, etc.

Of course there are many camera and lens combos that are great for

macro photography, to bring us into their tiny world.

What I'm talking about is the camera that you want to carry with you for everyday,

street, landscape, architectural, event, nature, friends, family, average everyday photography.

I'd say start with a 'rangefinder' viewfinder,

the features of the Fuji X100s, with real aperture, shutter and exposure compensation

controls, the 36 megapixel, 'full frame' Sony Exmor sensor, and an interchangeable lens mount,

maybe leitz compatible, with a fast f1.4 40mm, high quality, standard lens.

This I think, would become the go-to camera for most 'serious' photographers,

one that they couldn't keep on the shelves, and could easily come in at a

$2500, or less, price tag.

Maybe someone could add some other key feature, but I'm not interested

in any other type of camera
