To all you DSLR users out there:

How close to selling the DSLR gear for a superzoom camera are you?

Why now?

Image quality in a superzoom is impressive at base ISO, and improving all the time at elevated ISO's:

When is the threshold reached where image quality is good enough for you to change?

And is that quality threshold lowering, in any case, in line with the article referenced here:

And finally. What lens operation would draw you most to a superzoom: motorised or manual?

The FZ50: DSLR handling of a bright Leica 35-420mm lens that's this good: http://www.flickr.com/groups/panasonicfz50/pool/show (some real gems in there). With the FZ200 performance so good, I live in hope that Mr Ichiro Kitao has triggered the update to the FZ50.
