I am wanting to buy a new lens.. I have a d7000 with zeiss 50 1.4 and Nikkor 105 macro for pro lenses (good quality lenses)

I really like the wide look and i know the 28 will be more like a 50 (or 45 or whatever) but will the optics be up to par with the 24-70 or 16-35?

28mm f/1.8g will be equivalent to 42mm which is slightly more than allowable area. I think 25mm is more suited for full coverage as it will yield 37.5mm. If you go wider than that, you will have to deal with field curvature.

I think primes provide more value for money & size.

thanks

Any favorites?

Should I just save my money or is the 28 good enough for now?

The lenses I have are just too telephoto..

Oh I actually have a 28-200 3.5-5.6 I believe and a bower 8mm fish 3.5 not to mention the kit 18-55 that came with my d3100..

Didn't want to mention those.. I really want to move up and plan to eventually get ff..

Thanks for any professional insight..

This is just a hobby for now but maybe more later.. Who knows.
