Aperture is a lot like Lightroom and seems more for organizing.  I'm an amateur and have no real need for super organization.  I can do it by putting dates in the file names from each photo adventure and easily find the shots later if necessary.  I'm not familiar with the other one.  I'll look it up on the internet and read about it.  Thanks for your advice.
