Sorry, I didn't mean to imply the shutter was 'guaranteed'. My concern is that I have heard of several E3/E5's breaking well before they reach Olympus's durability claim of 150,000.

If Oly is pushing the E5 camera as 'durable' and 'robust', then it would be in their interest to behave as if they trust their own design. My point wasn't that no E3/E5 shutter should break before 150,000, but if a jobbing pro has their camera break well under half the claimed durability, it doesn't look good to anyone if Olympus simply washes their hands of it.
