There is. 2048x1152 px = 2359296 px = 2.36 Mpx = 2.4 Mpx.

It would've been different if he had said 2.40 Mpx (a very different number from 2.4 in the physical sciences), but he didn't and thus you're wrong. Did you read the damn article?
