What's the maximum allowable CF card capacity of the D100 considering that 16 - 64GB CF cards are commonplace nowadays? I only used 2 or 4GB CFs when I had a D100.

Be sure not to set the file format to compressed RAW when using the D100. There's a 3 shot buffer for RAW and using compressed RAW will really slow things down significantly.

I hope old DSLRs last a long time: I just ordered a near mint Nikon D100! I figure it will handle the Mojave Desert far better than my delicate D5100. Who really cares if the D100 uses a slow USB 1.1 port?

Never buy version 1.0 of anything.

Thanks for the advice on RAW shooting with the D100.  I plan to use a 4GB CF card with the D100, as I had also thought about the high-capacity CF card issue as well.
