Stamp that on just about any other camera made today, it would be appropriate.

And I have seen very few people that do not love this thing ... I don't think it works as a general statement about the GX1.

OK, I said "sucks" instead of using the 'snobbish' reference. But I'm not commenting on the camera, not at all. Let's list each µ4/3 camera that's been produced, starting with the E-P1 and GF1, and try on the review to see how it fits:

This is a great camera, great output pictures (I only shoot in RAW) and any other remarks has to be put on the subjectivity factor. Some people think they would drive better if they had a BMW or other snobbish accessories, it is the same with cameras. It is not the material but the talent that makes the difference and this camera in the right hands can do fantastic pictures....!

That's all I'm saying.

While it is true that a new camera will not fix a broken photographer, it is also true that better tools can be put to good use in capable hands. Later models have added improvements in many areas. If someone can afford it and wants a new model, it would be silly to ignore the improvements as long as you are able to exploit them. That exploitation may be improved image quality, ease of use, better handling, or other ways.
