I bought a d2x that had a lot of bottom edge scratching and then bought a can of Black "satin finish" car spray paint which I applied with a fine paint brush - dries in seconds and matched to the Nikon black finish a treat a few layers has helped fill the scratches - not perfect but better that the "white/light grey" scratches - it was £7.00 approx $10 and will last me a lifetime of camera scratches.

Very good idea. Multiple applications with a brudh would indeed fill in the dings, and I would not be bothered with masking the eitire camera to cover only a few scratches.

Finding a proper paint should be easy. Nikon Dx Camera bodies are a black satin finish, not flat.
