My experience is that if you have well exposed image, there is no visible noise at ISO3200 when the image is scaled down to viewing device/print resolution.

When you zoom to 1:1 pixel on pixel, you can see a lot of noise, but I can not think of any practical case when you would like to do this.

So, unless you want to print a mega-billboard or do some really heavy cropping, I think ISO3200 is just about perfect.
