I can second that the Tokina 100 is a good lens. I have that and a Nikon 85 Micro. The Tokina is significantly less expensive, and every bit as good if not better. Difference between 85 and 100 for Macro shooting hasn't been significant for me, just need to move in or out.

Although a macro lens is a more expensive option than extension tubes, etc., you will have a perfectly useable prime for other-than-macro work.  Keep that in mind when you select one. With this criteria, the Nikon 85 has been more useful than the Tokina 100.
