6400 if I must and I can get reasonable results after PP

3200 is less PP work and can make a nice shot.

1600 looks very good!

Anything above 800 requires a fairly correct exposure or you will pay a noise penalty. I actually find the ISO range about the same as the D700/D3, which is amazing at 36 mp.
