Why do Nikon and Canon hate mirror-less cameras??
2

Nikon's revamped V entry was basically treated like the black sheep of the family at the recent Henry's show.  Relegated to the sidelines in a glass box while the DSLR's, lenses, etc. had prime locations and were available to customers to handle.  Canon's (the latest entry to mirror-less of all the major brands) M isn't much better off, no EVF a poor relation to the DSLR line.
Is it that Nikon and Canon see mirror-less as a threat to the profits generated by DSLR's and their accessories?  Surely the cost-savings afforded by getting rid of prisms and mirror systems means mirror-less could be profitable for them without threatening DSLR sales?
