Re: D2H, 'Auction sites prices' markets and business
In reply to Gpruitt54, Jun 7, 2013

While one can generally see which items are of value and are keenly chased by the market, it is apparent to anyone dealing with buying on auction sites, that there are 'traders', not only those who source products to sell on audtion sites, but those who buy and sell on these same sites, making it a bit more difficult for the end users to get things cheaply.

Everyone has to make money, that's fine, and its good for the primary sellers, but it inflates prices 'artifically' above the end user need.

Yes, demand and supply = prices, but the thing is, if dealers are buying and selling, it makes the bidding process artificial to the end user, and certainly affects prices.

Plus it targets the good condition products that 'would' be deals but are also targeted by those who deal, because they lknow that they canm make out of those.

So, this said in summary is that take prices with a pinch of salt and hunt around for what you want, compare, compare, compare, especially to prices of such as KEH & Adorama, brick and mortar photography stores.
