Long time lurker, first time macro poster. Got my 100mm 2.8 (non-L) macro out in the garden last weekend for the first time this year with the 5D. My main conclusions were I need a lot more practice, I probably need to get my tripod out and I possibly need a plamp - I was really struggling with getting adequate DOF while still retaining an adequate shutter speed for handholding and it was quite breezy so I kept getting the subjects moving. Anyway, here are a few shots - C&C welcome, I'm here to learn!

Lily beetles. MF, with lens set at minimum focal distance and  moved back and forth to focus. Not as sharp as I'd like.

A field of sphagnum moss.

Allium. Could have done with more DOF (and less breeze), this was one I really think I needed the tripod/plamp for...
