D5100: Card capacity error

I'm comparing it to the Lexar equivalent ( at least capacity-wise), as I can get 2 for the price of 1 Sandisk, and each of them has at least 1 review where the card failed and media was lost... anybody else wanna vouch for either of these?
I'm only shooting still, not concerned about read speed, and write speed needs to be reasonable but nothing crazy high-end. Capacity and reliability are my biggest concerns.
