K5(II) SD Card Door Coming Open

Does the K5 SD card door come open during use? Is it easy to accidently open? Is there some type of flaw that makes it possible to open without you wanting it to.

For me the answer is a simple no. The SD Card door has never ever come open without me opening it. I can't even rub it against something hard and make it open. I just can't open it without pushing it down with a good bit of force then sliding it open as all other doors work like the D7000, 7D. The K10D/K20D did have a separate latch that made it impossible to open the memory door accidently. However saying weather resistance is hampered because the memory card door likes to come open with big hands, small hands, being clumsy is just not reality IMO.

You can't even turn the mode dial accidently. About the only thing that can be done is pressing on the live-view button accidently. That does happen. But no worries in bad weather. For sure I don't need tape on my K5 SD card door.

The author had a defective door IMO. But what about others. Is it a problem.

Has the SD Card door on the K5, K5II(s) ever give anyone problems? I know this post opens the door (;) for trolls but we know the regulars.
