As a photographer, what do you wear to any event?

When I am hired professionally, I will dress to the level of the event.  If its a wedding, I will have a suit&tie if not a tuxedo.  The most informal attire I will wear is a collared polo shirt with khaki pants.  Most of the time I find myself in a collared long sleeve shirt and khaki pants.

Recently, I helped my videography buddy at a wedding.  He didnt have anyone else and I knew his gear, his business very well.  I observed the photographers come in.  One was wearing shorts while another was wearing a really horrible tie with a wrinkled shirt.  They didnt look dressed for a wedding.

So how do you dress for an event which you are getting paid for?
