Now that Cameras do 1080p video do we still need Camcorders?

Just wondering I"m a regular guy just getting to into photography.

I got a canon T3i + iffy fifty 50mm f1.8 + Sigma 18-250mm Macro HSM.  and also a canon SX50HS point and shoot.

I also got a Panasonic HC-V700MK 1080p HD 21X Optical Zoom Flash Memory Camcorder.

Just wondering as both camera already shoot 1080p videos (though at 30fps instead of the 60fps of the camcorder) is having a camcorder necessary?  I'm not a major video shooter.   and camcorders shoot awful still pictures compared to a dedicated camera.

What do you guys think?  Just wondering if the camcorder still have it's place in my bag before deciding to sell it.

BTW: I'm new and accidently put my name as the subject. is there any way to change it?  MOD if you are reading this.  can you change my name to "gencom"?

Canon EOS 600D (EOS Rebel T3i / EOS Kiss X5)
