Kodak SLR/n - remote shutter trigger in ISO 6..50 modes

I cannot recall for the life of me if it was working like this before Midwest replaced sensor and mother board on my SLR/n so I want to enlist some help from fellow Kodak SLR/n or 14n users.
On my SLR/n, with remote trigger attached to Nikon control socket at the bottom of the camera (mine is Nikon MC-20), I can trigger shutter at all normal modes (standard ISOs) but on slow ISO modes (6-50) pressing the button just activates the focus but does not trigger the camera shutter. The main shutter does it just fine.
My firmware is 5.4.9. I am of course only interested in Nikon mount Kodaks (not SLR/c).
If any users of SLR/n or 14/n have a remote trigger that attaches to the socket in the camera can verify for me whether it works on long ISO modes (6-50) and report here - that would be a great help.
Thanks
