I regularly use the 24mm F2.8 manual focus lens on my D40.

In your D5200, the results will make you fall out of your chair, I imagine.

I call it a magic lens b/c it's soooooo easy to bail the focus and exposure despite everything being manual.

The only problem with the manual focus version is that it's tough to find. The first one I bought was the ai version ehich had a huge scratch on the front surface. Because of the scratch, I got it for $60. I lost it during travel and immediately replaced it. The problem was that I could only find the n-ai version at a low price and that one won't work on your D5200.
