Monsoons are coming!
Mush as I like the monsoons a part of me dreads the onset. I panic at the sight of clouds building up. In Mumbai the monsoons are particularly bad for cameras and lenses. My last camera a Nikon D50 and a set of lenses met a moldy end despite my best attempts to keep them dry and fungus free. The same happened to my Nikon F801.
How does one save oneself from fungus in a humid and hot environment? Silica gel has helped but not quite enough. This year I have thrown out all camera bags with their dark interiors and have bought large plastic clear boxes to store my camera and lenses. I don't know if this will help.
The question is how do you all keep your equipment from getting ruined.
