Drying the inside

Something you can try is to get silica gel packs from a camera store.  Also get sandwich bags.

Open the battery compartment door.  Place camera, battery, and silica gel into a sandwich bag and seal.  Give it at least overnight for the silica gel to absorb all moisture in the bag.  Hopefully with the battery compartment open it will equilibrate with the innards of the camera.  Without opening the bag get the battery into the compartment, and close the door.  Open the bag and lock down the battery compartment door.  seal the bag with the silica gel for future use.  Avoid opening the battery compartment door more than you have to.  Hopefully there should be nothing but very dry air inside the camera.  When you do open the camera, give it a new treatment before closing it for use.
