The 42mm to 75mm gap will annoy. All for the maybe not so often used 150mm to 300mm range. The 75-300mm lens is one you might buy if a bird watcher or about to do an African wildlife safari.

In my case with E-PL5 the Panasonic 45-150mm made more sense as the unswitched OIS can be used via the E-PL5 menus (it is better built with metal mount and comes with a lens hood).

This gives a nice stabilised preview and makes life easier, especially when the 2x digital teleconverter is used to get the 300mm tele effect. OK that's 4MP interpolated to 16MP but is fine for picking off details for a screen display or print size up to maybe 8x10 inches.

More E-PL5 info found via my pages .

Regards..... Guy
