Sensors have improved to the point that they are indistinguishable at low ISO, and require pixel-peeping at high ISO. The improvements are getting smaller and harder to distinguish with each generation. Is that really what limits your ability as a photographer?

We are not there yet concerning high ISO. Obviously not.

And if a 12-month old sensor is "old", you either need to buy a new camera every year or worry about something else. I suggest the latter.

Not WHEN we are about to buy a new camera. Buying a new camera does not necessarily means replacing the camera that we already have.
