No money in it? I would think there would be lots of money in it. The world is full of PCs an who knows how many people would buy OSX to see if they were happy with it. Microsoft seems to do fairly well selling their OS so why would you think Apple could not do the same?

Apple makes their money from (1) hardware sales, from Macs to iPods, and (2) from services, such as and primarily from iTunes.

Why in the world would you want to kill (1)?

Also compare the pricing differential between Windows and OS X. When was the last time that Microsoft sold their OS for $20?
