Thanks for this hint.  I never thought of using this method, The main difference is that (at least on mine), the  Downloads folder in Go > Home,  has all kinds of stuff that has been downloaded, and my iCLoud downloads are all mixed in there.  Using noirdesir's suggestion, the iCloud downloads are all together.

Either will work, but the one-step is quicker, and you can drag what you want to the desktop or another folder  all in one click.
