Does anyone really use F1.4 much with their LX7?
May 16, 2013

I just returned from a 3 week trip to Italy recently and shot about 2500 images with my LX7.  Early morning, daytime, early morning/evening, inside buildings and courtyards, and after sunset.  What i found when I began to review and analyze the images; only a very, very few were shot at F1.4.  Why?  Because it wasn't necessary.  The camera seems to be able to keep the ISO low and avoid using F1.4 for better IQ and depth of field even in most low light situations.

What have you experienced and do you see it differently?

Regards,

joel
