My advice would be to get the Sony 35mm, leave it on your camera all the time and just learn to shoot with that.  If you want to do macro, tele, etc. then you already have those (a cheap macro lens adaptor will let you play) but you'll be surprised at how much you'll learn and the great shots you'll take with just the 35mm.  The other "do anything" lens is the 18-55mm (I'm thinking that the 16-50 is probably similar but I don't really know).  Making the most of the standard zoom teaches you a lot as well
