Just got this lens, put it on the camera and the dreaded back focus jumped out at me. I dialed in about a plus fifteen of AF fine tune and it looks smack on. Am I delusional or has the power of AF fine tune overtaken me? Maybe the problem is sometimes so large that there is not enough correction in AF fine tune to fix it, but fortunately for me, my copy appears to be doing just fine. I'll know more in about four days. The 80-200 and I are headed into a four day trial by fire, fast action, low light, a real test. Fortunately, there will be no 200mm at five feet and f2.8 shooting, I hope.
